2015 90th Annual Diplomatic Ball
The 90th Annual Diplomatic Ball was held at the Women in Military Service for America Memorial in Arlington, Virginia.
Created in 1997, the Women in Military Service for America Memorial is located adjacent to the Arlington National Cemetery and serves to honor the military women who have served in the nation’s defense throughout the history of the armed forces. The beautifully unique structure was the perfect setting for the 800 students from across Georgetown’s undergraduate and graduate schools to mingle with diplomats and representatives of over 15 embassies, bringing together both current and future leaders from around the world.
The Memorial was also fitting for the theme of the night: “Women in Service,” honoring, in particular, the late Dean Carol A. Lancaster, former Dean of the School of Foreign Service who passed away in October 2014. Guests enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres and desserts, performances by Georgetown’s all-female acapella group, the GraceNotes, and a photo booth to capture the excitement and memories of the night.
Many thanks to the 90th Annual Diplomatic Ball Planning Committee for all of their hard work and success!
