The 88th Ball was hosted at the Mellon Auditorium in downtown Washington, DC. One of the most magnificent settings for government ceremony, the Mellon Auditorium was home to the signings of the North Atlantic Treaty in 1949 and the North American Free Trade Agreement in 1994. The Mellon Auditorium is a historic symbol of unity and international cooperation, an excellent setting for the Diplomatic Ball uniting current and future leaders of international affairs.

The 88th Annual Diplomatic Ball was one of the largest and most popular in recent years, uniting almost 900 students from all 4 undergraduate schools with delegations from over 20 countries, as well as distinguished faculty and guests. After welcoming remarks from Deans Lancaster and Kaneda, guests were serenaded by student groups such Superfood and the Ballroom dance team.

Many thanks to the 88th Annual Diplomatic Ball Planning Committee for their excellent work!

Co-Chairs: Alex Pommier, Elaine Li, Katherine Claire Crewsdon
